MFB is a two bin booklet maker with face trimmer, compared with same product of different level in the market. MFB is unique because it is equipped with creasing/perfing tool and partial perf is optional. It means the cover can be creased before stitch and folding which looks better and sheets can make T/L shape which significantly increase the value. The patent progressive function together with creasing allow it to make square back booklet without cracking even on heavy stock. Hand married function allows it make booklet with more than 2 kinds of sheets. Read mark function help avoid unnecessary loss.
MFB handles job from phone size manual booklet to A3 size magazines. Full automation and smart function make booklet job quick and easy.

FEATURES

TWO BIN FEEDER

The DCF33 has two bins to feed from. There are endless possible combinations of finishes available. Separated Top blower and side blower are available at bins, together with movable end stop with tail blower , they ensure the stable feeding of sheets from min 70gsm.

HAND MARRIED

Besides the two bin for feeding, operate is also allowed to feed one or more than one sheet from the manual feeding table to for a hand-married job to realize booklet with more than 2 kind of sheets.

SLIDE-IN TOOLS AND PARTIAL PERF

The upper bin for feeding heavier stock booklet covers can be equipped with creasing/cross perforating, linear perforating and linear partial perforating that allow up to 32 creases/cross perforations and up to 4 partial linear perforations.

AUTOMATICAL SETTING

Central alignment / side guide adjustment / back guide adjustment / trimming position adjustment / outfeed roller position adjustment are all fully automatically done by electrical system based on touch screen input, no need any human hands intervention.

STEEL WIRE AS CONSUMABLE

Equipped with professional stitch head, MFB consumable is steel wire instead of staple or cartridge, Compared with staple or cartridge, Steel wire has price advantageable especially for quantity jobs.

FACE TRIMMER

Booklets from the wire stitch folder will be delivered into the face trimmer (T33). A heavy duty cutter will perform the face trim and leaves the booklet with smooth edges. The waste cut strips are delivered to the outside of the machine by conveyor. There is no need to stop the machine to clear the waste.

 

PROGRESSIVE

Creasing in the same position on each page to create a hinge for a thick book such as a manual or photobook makes the book difficult to fully open without breaking the spine.

Creasing in the middle of each page of a saddle stitch book makes it difficult to fold and trim.

With the Progressive function activated each sheet is creased in a slightly different position so that when the book is assembled it lays flat and can be easily fully opened without breaking the spine.

With the Progressive function activated each sheet is creased in a slightly different position to create a “V” shape so that when the book is assembled it becomes a square back that allows the book to lay flat and be more easily used.

READ MARK

WHY WE NEED READ MARK

Digital printed sheets are well ordered from the printer, when put them into feeder of booklet maker, the feeding order has to be also well ensured or not only the single book, but also all the books thereafter are ruined. In order to avoid this from happening, it is necessary to mark on each sheet so that machine could read and recognize each of them, so that when a wrong mark is read, the machine could stop to avoid further loss.
